The longest cable car network in the world is in La Paz
This extensive cable car network, known as “Mi Teleférico,” features ten lines that total over 30 kilometers in length. This network connects different areas of La Paz and the city of El Alto, being not only the longest but also the highest in the world, operating at altitudes exceeding 4,000 meters above sea level.
A complete ride, enjoying the urban landscape and the city of La Paz, can easily last 2 to 3 hours.
From Hotel Casa Fusión, just a few steps from the Sopocachi station of the yellow line, you can start your journey to the Holguín station, admiring the spectacular views of Illimani and then complete the round trip.
The cable car network operates by purchasing tickets from segment to segment or using a NFC card that we will lend you at the hotel with a complimentary amount so that you can easily enter the cable car without having to wait in line. The card has enough balance for one person to make the complete round trip around the city; ask for the card at reception and, when you no longer need it, return it to the same reception. If you are traveling with friends or family, the card can be recharged at any station. Each segment costs 3 Bs, and multiple people can use the same card; just pass it from one person to another at the moment of entering each segment.

Recommended Route
- Yellow Line towards Mirador station. (10 min). You will see a wonderful view of the city. There is a fast-food restaurant with a café that has a great viewpoint.
- Silver Line. (12 min) You will skirt the boundary between La Paz and El Alto over markets, edge houses and the brow of El Alto.
- Blue Line. (30 min round trip). On Thursdays and Sundays, you will see the largest open-air market. Between the second station Plaza Libertad and the third station Plaza La Paz, you will see the cholets. You can turn around at the UPEA station.
- Red Line. (10 min) As soon as you start descending, you will pass over the Chualluma neighborhood, painted by artists. Then you will pass over the general cemetery, ending at the former central train station. There you will find a museum, supermarket, and dining options.
- Orange Line. (10 min). The first station Riosinho is two blocks away from Jaen street. Passing the Apachita station, you will pass over a traditional cemetery. It reaches the Heroes of the Revolution square where there is a Cable Car museum.
- White Line. (13 min). It passes through the entire Miraflores neighborhood amidst buildings, ending at the Av. Arce station. From there, you can take an elevator and you will be half a block away from Multicine.
- Celeste Line. (5 min) A single station in the direction of Del Libertador.
- Yellow Line. (5 min) to the Sopocachi station, half a block away from the Hotel.
